Sales Support Associate Job Description

 

Creative Departure (dba Once Again Home Co.) is a home textiles company (Sheets, Towels, Table Linens, Rugs and Decorative Pillows) providing both business development consultation to International Factories as well manufacturing products under its owned brand Once Again Home Co.

 

We work with both larger retailers such as Kohl’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Hobby Lobby, Wayfair, Amazon, Overstock, etc. as well as market and brand our newly developed private brand to the end consumer via our own website (via Shopify).  All our products are home textile based (Sheets, Towels, Rugs, Table Linens and Decorative Pillows) that are high quality, performance-based textiles and follow our sustainable standards. All our products are manufactured abroad in countries including China, India, Pakistan and Turkey.

Position Summary: The Sales Support Associate is responsible for providing Sales and Marketing area (currently the Owner) the support they need to drive revenue and profits.  This is a newly developed position with the room to grow current business as well as develop and launch new products. This is a fast paced and ever evolving position as we build our support team over the upcoming year.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for online setup, copy, images, etc for customers such as Wayfair, Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond, Overstock as well as owned Shopify website.
  • Maintain inventory uploads on daily basis in vendor portals. Update in house sales reports and support in the forecasting process.
  • Oversees customer requirements and processes for multiple accounts and keep processes on time.
  • Communicate and develop email and other marketing strategies for owned brand.
  • Work as a liaison between our factory partners and independent sales representatives to complete all requirements and communicate with our retail partners.
  • Work closely with new customers to understand their needs and set up processes and procedures to meet them.
  • Other duties to be added as position is refined.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Prior experience with ecommerce retailers needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Strong independent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well with International factory partners.
  • Relentless customer focus and service combined with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of autonomy, flexibility and discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product, with intermediate level Excel.

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a consumer goods sales support role.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates in a home office. Position may require some time in the office in the future but could still be primarily home-based.
  • 15-20 hours average. Monday-Thursday availability.
  • Limited travel to trade shows maybe needed in the future.
  • Prefer Local Candidates (Chicago) but will consider all candidates with noted qualifications.
